G+_Dan Hockey
UEFI Windows 10 64bit & 14.04LTS 64 bootloader setup.... Both were installed in UEFI mode. 10 is still working. I installed EasyBcd witch dosen't see the ubuntu install. I can boot 14.04 from usb and mount the linux partition.......It's running and I'm using it for this post. Now... for the big qestion Do I use windows 10 for the boot loader or Grub2 for the bootloader. I think Grub2 got install to /dev/sda5 witch is the linux partition. But I can't seem to find it. I tried the linux way... http://howtoubuntu.org/how-to-repair-restore-reinstall-grub-2-with-a-ubuntu-live-cd grub-install /dev/sda5 and got the folloing message. grub-install: warning: Embedding is not possible. GRUB can only be installed in this setup by using blocklists. However, blocklists are UNRELIABLE and their use is discouraged.. grub-install: error: will not proceed with blocklists. root@it:/# I've looked at a number of youtube videos but nothing seems ti fit the mess I've created. I was invited to do a skype call for leo's show yesterday because of this but I had too many interuptions to find a good mic or headset to test.
