Would this be analog or digital LEDs? I found it on sale and was thinking of trying a set for grins and giggles.

I looked up the ws2812. Looks like "digital" LEDs with a built in controller. Sounds like you know more than I do about this, but AFAIK, they are all on/off

It like like they MAY be individually addressable like ws2812's. They probably have a controller module with some sort of radio connection to pair with the app. It's also possible they are linked in a way that, say, every third light is linked to a single color control. It would be interesting to take apart, but 80 bucks is past my current single component price.

I went ahead and ordered a set since they were all sold out in the store. What I saw on display had three wires, which I'd bet I have a good chance of it being the addressable leds.
