G+_Steve C
Would anyone actually buy a $49 Android Fire tablet? Who wants a tablet with a screen that is only 1024 x 600 running Fire OS 5 even if it is just $49? Even if you upgrade to the better one for $149 doesn't that mean that with Fire OS 5 you can only get apps from the Amazon store?
G+_52Degrees
Not if you root it.
G+_Travis Hershberger
I don't see why the 1024x600 screen is a problem, even for larger tablets. I can't see a difference in resolution between my Samsung transformer ultra and Nexus 5 anyway. Fire OS 5? For that price drop cyanogen or something of the sort on it, it's disposable. G+_Rigs 83
It's basically the throw away tablet you can let a little kid play with. I was thinking about getting the 6 pack for me, family and friends
G+_Michael Shada
I plan on buying a 6 pack. My sister and kids just use facebook, watch movies and photos on their phones. What else do you need? Merry Christmas.? If you want more buy a 4K Sony phone. How STUPID is that display.
G+_Steve C
You could give it to a bad kid in their stocking for Christmas instead of a lump of coal but unless the kid is too young to know the difference they are going to be whining all the time about it not being an iPad. G+_richard andresen
I have an several Ipads, two android tablets and the 7in fire HD. love my Ipad air and the fire. Everything else I've used is junk including my nexus 7. Different devices have different uses. The ipad I use for day to day internet stuff. the Fire I use for entertainment when I travel. I don't want to run the risk of losing my $700 Ipad. Also the fire is rock solid, it doesn't crash and every app works exactly as it should. For people that don't want to spend the big bucks I think fire is the best option, also important to note the the fire is made to consume prime products, so if you don't have amazion prime it may not be a good choice.
