G+_Dan Salter
My battery charger has started showing "Connection Error". I've tried straight charge and balance charging. I've tried different batteries and I've tested the cables. Everything seems ok. Any ideas? I'm guessing the charger has packed in for some reason. G+_Wayne Morgan
Try a different set of leads from the charger to the lipo. That worked for me. About 6 months later the charger died tho. They are not the genuine article thus the cheap price. I bought another one purely because I was short of cash. Will eventually upgrade to something else. G+_Dan Salter
No hologram. This is a fake I'm fairly sure. I tried different leads, same result. Can anyone recommend a good charger?
G+_Dan Salter
Yeah I popped it open. It looks tip top inside. No burns on the board or excess/lack of solder on the joints. The wires since it's happening on all batteries I know it's likely to be the charging unit, I just can't see anywhere that's causing the issue. G+_The Grimm Perspective -
I've been doing a lot of research on charges as of late. AC, DC, AC/DC, single channel, multi channel, warranty, and budget?
G+_Dan Salter
Following up on this one. I sent the above video to Banggood and they immediately sent me a replacement. Suggests it's a known issue. Hoping the replacement lasts longer than the original.
G+_Wayne Morgan
Dan Salter that's good news. Banggood are good like that. They used to have the genuine imax b6 as well. I'd be asking for it instead and paying the difference (was around $10).
G+_Wayne Morgan
Cory Grimm what is the biggest lipo you'll be charging? How many lipos at one time do you want to charge? Personally I'd go for a DC one with the highest wattage and amperes I could afford with a power supply that will provide enough of both to run it at full capacity. Single channel as you can always get a parallel charging board.
G+_The Grimm Perspective -
Sorry Wayne Morgan, I've been disconnected from G+ and hadn't made it back here. My post should have been stated as a question for the OP. He had inquired about a good replacement. But thank you anyway. :)
