G+_Louis Rigo Jr
Hey guys, I'm suddenly getting an "ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE" error in chrome on my new MacBook on several sites like YouTube, whoishostingthis.com and even Google search result pages. After doing some research on my iPhone (also on chrome and on the same network, with no issues), I've seen suggestions that it could be a virus... Are there any good free virus scanners for my MacBook? Does anyone have a better theory about my issue? http://whoishostingthis.com
G+_Ben Reese
Have you tried Safari or Firefox on that machine? How about removing and reinstalling Chrome? If you uninstall, also be sure to remove the user data folder for Chrome. Sorry, I don't use a Mac, so can't really talk to Mac specific software. G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
I blame Burke... that doesn't fix the problem, but it makes me feel better.
G+_Louis Rigo Jr
It's odd, once the problem starts for a particular site, it happens across all my browsers (safari and ff too). What's more, if I switch my wifi from my 2.4GHz connection to my 5GHz connection, I can view one more page on the domain before I get the same error again. If I switch back, I again get exactly 1 more page..... No other computer has this problem.

G+_Jeff Brand
Some quick searches find people who have this are triggering DNS-based blacklists. It's a longshot. Time to haul out the packet sniffers.
G+_Louis Rigo Jr
Dan Lo Fat That was my assumption so I installed Avira, it found 13, cleaned them off and I'm still having the same issue. Is there a better AV I should try?
