I am wondering if you tested the Kingston Digital HyperX Predator 480 GB PCIe Gen2 x 4 Solid State Drive 8-Inch SHPM2280P2H/480G with the Predator Windows machine from ACER.

Can't use it in the Predator AG3. It needs a 4-Lane PCI-e... the Predator doesn't have any of those available.

Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ  After seeing a new updated video on the predator disk drive running on PCIe was saddened yet once again by your response which was: my Acer Predator AG30605 can not handle this card.

and extracting this part of the review:

 The system boasts an Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 graphics card which should be easy enough to swap out for a larger card down the road, but there's no room for a second card, "despite the available second PCI Express slot." 

Is this not the slot I need to add the Kingston Predator hard drive? Help me clear up the confusion please.

The second slot is an x2. You could use it, but you would lose half the performance of the Predator SSD. :(

So not all PCIe slots are the same speed. Now all I have to do is decide to get a new computer with the right PCIe slots or wait till Intel and Micron decide when the next generation computer will be available.

 

PS:what is the name of the PCIe slot which will allow max speed, for the purposes of shopping.
