All, here is the chance to convince my wife this is the best place to get recommendations for all things geek. My son does mixing and DJ'ing and we could like to get him some headphones but ar confused with all the different type of specs. One of the Twit shows recommended some great head phones and I believe it was Padre. Memory is bad! Anyhow please running out of time need help.

I have been using AKG K181DJ's. Been a nice set of cans with  replaceable cord. They can be set to mono or stereo and have swivel cups. http://www.head-fi.org/t/323653/akg-k181dj-review
