Getting into this sensor for avoiding colliding with my garage wall sounds like fun

Short of seriousness you are Mr Hobbins;)

The idea is to have sensors mounted around the garage area and front door sensing motion. If they could be mounted on the inside wall with out alerting to their presence it would be a game changer.

Really don't want a "ready in one minute human"  just sensing their motion would be sufficient. Jeez.

As for research have invested most of this day on another search a light switch that can be programmed from a browser calendar interface. Simply click on time-on time-off and days of the week. The programmable switches with the tiny window for on switch programming are a pain in the Hobbins.

See if you can find that one real fast.

Wayne Hobbins The ones that are in the motion activated lights are infrared. A quick google however shows that the ones used for the automatic doors are microwave. But that is just a motion sensor. I would also ponder if they would work well on metal, or if they are a meat only sensor.

You guys do know that the military uses a big microwave for crowd deterrent. Right? It just heats up your skin slightly and makes it feel like you're on fire (or something). So this aint that much of crazy talk. :)

Microwave motion sensor:

Yeah Mr Hobbins I am afraid a judge would have a slight tendency to rule in favor of those "feeling slightly on fire".

These sensors would tell me if my dog was barking at something 4 foot or under or above with lights/sounds being activated in case of animal or human outside the front of the house.

WARNING TO THE REST!...

what do you expect? Stuff for free! When the thing was originally built, I'll bet they were not thinking for your designs. THAT'S what prototyping is ! Its going to be ugly as sin, a jumble of parts that do a function you want.

Paint it later, but make it work.

A Cheaper unit I found on eBay for $10 (from china, month shipping time) may not have IF out.

I had to dig for a month to find... don't have the link handy. The first 8088 processor chip cost $x00,000 to make, the rest were pocket change. Point being, the first device you make will cost you a chunk.
