Is the app for android "WiFi Analyzer" good enough to report on signal strength especially to a manufacturer of equipment being tested?

I'd doubt it unless you could provide a baseline for your own device's sensitivity at a given range to a known signal strength. And I'm sure reality is even more complex than that.
