Would be great if could load linux on it or even find out what is running on it currently. Data Robotics doesn't offer support for the product as it is EOL. If you can help please do here are some specs on the units:

I find the Dropbox software is already awesome. As it does not require same size drives to do its magic.

Never got DroboShare software working but did get my windows 8 PC to see the Droboshare finally.

It was sitting on 10.0.0.49 according to Wireshark but could not ping it.

DId a search on google for resetting the DroboShare ONLY and once complete it my DHCP assigned it a new ip address . That was it now it shows up on my Windows 8 network section ...success.
