G+_Rud Dog
Wired speakers + Wireless + TV Is there a wireless system which allows me to use my perfectly great bookend wired speakers? Would like to be able to plug transmitter into jack(Headphone) on the TV and then each powered bookend speaker have a wireless receiver attached. These are powered speakers with built in amps. One of the major problems faced with this setup is volume control, would be nice if the remote for the TV could control the volume for both the flatscreen and Bookend speakers. Unfortunately the headphone jack, which is being used in this example, can not control volume being routed to the Powered bookend speakers. G+_Eddie Foy
Monoprice probably has something that fits the bill. And crutchfields will have solutions too at 3-6 times the prce.

G+_Rud Dog
Took a look at Crutchfields it appears they sell wireless speakers and receivers or did I miss the adapter type devices?
G+_Scott W
I was considering these, but went with two bluetooth speakers. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00814NSQ0/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_2?pf_rd_p=1944687762&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B008BNO40U&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1WC089EQ89S594GSCRHT
G+_Rud Dog
Scott W didn't know that existed did notice it was for the rear speakers which are almost always lower volume then the front but that is from only couple of setups in the past. G+_Rud Dog
Maybe what I should do is connect a small amp between my bookend speakers and the flat screen. Can place these two speaks on either side of the flat screen and avoid unsightly wires. Unfortunately all to be found are these great big boxes (Entertainment system units) which would take up to much real estate. Must be a simple small amp with possibly HDMI in from the HDMI out on my flatscreen. From there plug speakers into output from simple amp? Continuing to search but if anyone know of such a box please let me know.
G+_Scott W
For our bedroom TV I used two bluetooth speakers with a bluetooth transmitter connected to the TV. We wanted separate volume control on each speaker. I used this transmitter: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QV77XU6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01 and two of these speakers: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QV77XU6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01 So far its working really well. I had a pair of wireless speakers made by Rocketfish that worked really well. One speaker went bad and I can not locate the same setup. Also if you are into Arduino you can make a wireless transmitter and receiver with an NRF24L01 wireless module. I am currently building a set using info from this blog: http://tmrh20.blogspot.com/2014/03/arduino-radiointercomwireless-audio.html
