G+_Rud Dog
After checking out what was available bumped into the J-Tech Digital ® Premium Quality 1080P HDMI To HDMI + Audio (SPDIF + RCA Stereo) Audio Extractor Converter . Decided to rethink my configuration but then was left with what do I do with the BlueRay player and does the extractor have enough power to drive bookend pseak
G+_Rud Dog
Clarification only one Blu Ray player not players as shown on the drawing.
G+_Travis Hershberger
You'd need another amp as most "audio extractor" won't have one built in, just a line out. Much simpler just to grab a home theater amp that has hdmi switching built in.
G+_Rud Dog
Travis Hershberger thank you. I agree but my other half absolutely does not want another box in the area where the TV is located. So if I could "hide" as in the small size of the extractor it might be feasible. Now it appears I will have to add a small amp as suggested in my first post, by member of the community.(Sorry forgot who suggested it) Now to find the dimensions of the amp and extractor. Are there no engineers with wife's that have this this requirement surely it exists. Till then off to find the dimensions of the extractor and mini amp. G+_Reed Hanson
Is this something, that would help your situation? http://www.crutchfield.com/p_772D2/Audioengine-D2.html?tp=59309 Would still need an amp to power your speakers, but the amp could be put someplace out of sight. G+_Rud Dog
Reed Hanson Those are sweet but the cost as my wife puts it "hear the same sound only louder" would be prohibitive.
