G+_Rud Dog
Padre, how about a summary review on all the 3D printers you have used and which you recommend. I can only afford to buy one and would like to make an informed decision.
G+_Tyler Pearson
I think a new round up of 3d printers would be nice as well. I know the Dremel 3d Idea build has had lots of praise on Know How as well as other videos and forums I frequent. Ive personally been waiting for a good deal or reason to make the jump into 3d printing. There are cheaper options but I don't want to be disappointed and deal with headaches rather just getting my maker on with little maintenance as possible. Just looked up on Amazon today and it looks like Dremel's Idea Builder 3D20 is still $1000 but apparently they have a new 3D40 releasing in June with a few extra features and a bigger build area for $1300. Forget the cheaper 3D printers if you have the money and go for an idea builder?
G+_Tyler Pearson
Ya from what i gathered you can use other filaments besides Dremel's by just 3d printing a spool attachment or I have also seen others mount it on the outside. I believe there was a video with someone who made an attachment to mount it in the idea builder and a 1k spool fit nicely. Good thing its not a chipped spool at least atm. You use ABS in a Dremel or are you saying you like using Hatchback ABS in your printer? I thought Dremel could only use PLA.
