G+_Rud Dog
Call me cheap but I don't think shipping at 8.00 dollars is a bargain. I can get free shipping from another but have to wait till I reach 200 dollar limit. Guess going to have to pay the shipping on this tiny little board. Done ranting. Thank you for your help all. G+_Eddie Foy
amazon prime?
G+_Ben Reese
Amazon is what I was thinking too. It's $40 there, but that's with free shipping and only $5 over the normal cost. Microcenter is also an excellent option if you have one nearby. I picked one up there for I think $30.
G+_Ben Reese
But you might even check any other local electronics store. I wouldn't be surprised if Best Buy also carries them and I'm sure Fry's does too.

G+_Rud Dog
Just got my Particle Photon and can start learning it in case the price is still artificially inflated on the Pi, is that the case? Is the demand still high, seeing some prices at 40.00 bucks without the shipping. NOTE: beginning to notice the prices on amazon seem to be about the cost of shipping more then other vendors without shipping. Better stop posting today seem to be in a ranting mode:)
G+_Eddie Foy
Saw it on amazon for $40 prime (free shipping) So its $35 for it and $5 for shipping. It just came out, so its at a premium. Look at the prices when the Pi originally came out. Was selling on ebay for $75.
G+_Ben Reese
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Pi has always been $5 more on Amazon. The Pi 2 is still $40 and the Pi B+ is $43. And really that's part of the problem calling it a "$35 computer". It's $35 for the board + $5 for shipping + $5-20 for a SD card + $5-20 for a charger/cord + $10-50 for a case + $50-200 for a display... ... ... ... .... Eddie Foy? - if you haven't been to Microcenter, that's pretty much exactly what it is. Best Buy comes close.
