G+_Rud Dog
Have an old PTZ camera using SD card for storage although it does have FTP remote storage. This is the only option offered and knowing it is not secure was wondering if there is a way to make it secure as in not passing my password through the air in plain text? G+_Ben Reese
Probably not without additional hardware. There's probably a way to hack it and install your own firmware, but may not be easy.
G+_Ben Reese
With additional hardware, you could use a Raspberry Pi (or something similar) to act as a firewall/proxy and SFTP server.
G+_James Newsom
I had to set up something like this for my wife so that she could publish content to a website using an application that didn't support SFTP while the end server did support SFTP. I used BitVise SSH client with the following option: https://www.bitvise.com/ftp-bridge Works like a champ, but it means that this software will have to be up and running on a Windows box for the proxy to work correctly. Best of all, the SSH Client is free to use per their website.
