G+_Rud Dog
Found this interesting so thought I would share. Have a laptop for experimentation most of the time it is turned on but no wifi or connection to my lan via ethernet cable. Today came in and saw a notice: "Chrome is out of date" How? G+_Ben Reese
On Windows there's a Google updater scheduled task. Perhaps if it can't phone home it reports as being out of date.
G+_Darren Scourfield
I had same notice on my laptop day or two ago which is connected to WiFi/internet. Was a bit cheesed off with the message as Google have decided not to continue supporting chrome on vista, even though windows have extended vista support.?
