The teleprompter is hurting all of them. If you have watch tech news 2night they all sound stilted. They have had a different news reader every night and they are all dry and lifeless on the promter. Except Sarah and Robert Ballecer; and I suspect they don't read off it.

Mike is fine but he needs to stay with his strength, the impartial straight man. Let Sarah Lane or someone else be the opinion/personality side of the show.?

Clinton Hammond But don't you see... THIS is what we've all be tussed up about the past few weeks.

OF COURSE everybody has an opinion. OF COURSE you're just one guy. OF COURSE I can take it or leave it... but you've decided to express that opinion in a notably jerkish way, in a community thread, in a forum that has already distinguished itself with ad hominem attacks against the man you've decided to belittle.

In other words... you're crying "fire" in a crowded theater... not for a noble purpose... not to engage in conversation... not to raise the level of discourse... but for a cheap joke.

We love the TWiT army and I've engaged in more than my share of trolling, but we would hope for a little better from the smartest audience on the Internet.

I got tired of Mike's dry and monotone voice.  I'm a listener and not a watcher.  I did watch some of the New Years special and got a bad impression of him right from the start.  He was quiet and subdued and Leo kept looking at him to say something.  I gave a few episodes a listen to.  I've gone over to Merrit's new daily podcast.  He has all the regulars on, and I don't fall asleep listening.  Perhaps if I have insomnia one night, I may turn on the show to get me to sleep.
