G+_Rud Dog
While trying to connect with Tivo support noticed something never before seen at least my me. While the Loading circle in the tab for Tivo support was spinning around noticed in the bottom right corner of the browser it said: " waiting for available socket" ?? Anyone seen this before? G+_Rud Dog
Wish I had known that before I replaced my tivo remote with their new tivo remote slide:(
G+_Ben Reese
I haven't heard that. I'm pretty sure Tivo is still alive and kicking. Could be wrong though. "Waiting for available socket" sounds like a status the developers didn't mean for "normals" to see. Websocket is a way of providing live and personalized web content making it a good option for chat. It's possible they closed their support center for the day and didn't disable the button on their website. (assuming you mean you were waiting to chat with Tivo support)
G+_Rud Dog
Was a bit late so wasn't on chat but there was something odd about the amount of time it was taking to connect so your probably on target maybe switching from live to automated or offline support. In either case waited till after dinner and all was well as can be expected in Tivo land.
G+_William Jacoby
I know they just got rid of support for the original Series 1 TIVO from 1999. http://www.ubergizmo.com/2016/08/tivo-drops-support-for-original-dvr-from-next-month/
