G+_Rud Dog
While doing my normal searches on google this started coming up never seen it before anyone know what is going on. Just started about 5 minutes ago.
G+_Ben Reese
Google thinks you're a bot for some reason. I haven't seen that for a while - maybe last time I tried a VPN service or TOR? Might try a) in an incognito/private browsing mode; b) rebooting to see if it still happens. maybe signs of malware/etc, but that would be hard to say for sure. G+_Peter Hanse
If it thinks you are a bot Mabe something on your network is owned and acting as a bot. Did you click link why did this happen. I would copy and past link to inspect that it is going to google domain.
G+_Ben Yanke
I get this occasionally at work (which I believe is actually a residential cable internet package), so occasionally heaver than average use on our IP. If it only appears occasionally, nbd. If it persists, you would do well to investigate, such as running a packet capture.
G+_Rud Dog
Here it is the next day and have yet to see the pictured event. Was reluctant to click on the link but like the idea of copy and pasting to see where the link actually goes. Thanks all.
G+_Steve Martin
Are you searching from a corporate network. As Ben Yanke says, it is possible the aggregation of all of the searches done from your company are going over the Google throttling limit. G+_Rud Dog
Steve Martin all searches were done from my home LAN. Guess that is what happens when you google constantly.
G+_Peter Hanse
Check your out facing IP address to make sure your ISP did not put you behind a NAT.
G+_Steve Martin
NAT or no, there is no reason Google should think you are going over the throttling limit if you are doing normal searches from your browser. Unless you are running some sort of scripts that are doing endless random searches (which would make you a bot) this would be a very alarming thing. Check for virii, malware or trojans on all of your systems.
G+_Rud Dog
Steve Martin Thank you. The consensus appears to be this should not have occurred to someone doing casual searches using Google search. So having heard the "bell" decided to re-download malwarebytes and check windows updates for its defense downloads. Hoping that will do it and cross my fingers. There was a Twit Know how show on micro VM, not sure of the name, but that might be the wave of the future if it is not to expensive. It was Thursday's show. G+_David Wiggins
It cold also be something on you network acting as a zombie. Make sure any devices(router, IoT, whatnot) have latest firmware and something other than the default passwords. A lot of cheap routers have been compromised to run scripts to falsify traffic like advert clicks. The same can also be done by malicious websites in background tabs.
