G+_Travis Hershberger
You can't hide your name in email. You can hide the contents of the message, but not what your email address is, who you're sending it to (that metadata stuff.) PGP and Thunderbird are the things that come to my mind, but it sounds like they want an actual secured communication channel, which email is not. G+_Eddie Foy
GPG integrates crazy easy with Apple Mail. Do need basic understanding of keys, as with any solution.

G+_Ben Reese
I think... PGP = Pretty Good Privacy GPG = GNU Privacy Guard GNU = GNU is Not Unix Could be wrong on the first two. Only way to really hid your name is with a generic email address. Setup a few hotmail, Gmail, yahoo, ymail, etc accounts and only use each one a couple times. Then use PGP/GPG to actually encrypt the message. Like they said, email can't really be completely anonymous and still be usable. The spec actually let's you specify who the message is from, but practically every mail provider will do a reverse DNS lookup to make sure you are who you say you are.
