G+_Douglas Biggers
P2p investing is pretty much that... one peer investing in another. I got into it, to a small extent, in the early days of Prosper when it was individuals funding parts of loans to other individuals, with a bank in Nevada as a intermediary. They have since gotten to be less social and more or a raw numbers game, with allowances for bigger players, not just "the little guy". Many states now also impose a minimum income requirement if you are to be permitted to invest. The returns don't have as great a potential as Prosper loans(and that's what most p2p "investing" is, loans), but the Uhaul investor's club does not fall under the minimum income provision. G+_Rud Dog
Douglas Biggers Thank you. Found one part of this p2p lending on the investor side and that is the default loan collection is spread among the investors. This can affect your return how this works is something I find interesting. Be interesting to see the break down for the p2p company as far as their share of the pie. G+_Douglas Biggers
Iirc, Prosper takes 1% of the cut. That makes sense, considering they aren't out investment capital if a borrower defaults on their loan.
