Just another innovative way for websites to let you know they are on to adblockers have a look at the latest one I have run into:

Websites have to be careful just how they handle users who use Ad blocking software, after all, zero visitors also equals zero revenue

Good way to remind visitors they make money from ads but is just as annoying.

 

I understand that many websites make revenue serving ads along with there content but many sites have went to far with annoying take over ads, auto play videos and annoying pop ups. Especially the websites that do slideshows to get more clicks and throw more ads at you. I've never run a website and I'm sure revenue is always an issue but it forces people to look for other alternatives or just block the ads. TBH I've seen research saying ads work but usually when I see annoying ads it just reminds me not to buy them because I associate the brand with something I hate.
