Tell Mike how you really feel

Let me amend my original comment since it came from not reading Mike's request for feedback.  I'm still going to say that personal attacks aren't very nice!!  Be constructive about the show in particular, not the man.  Again I'm going to say, how would you like it if someone came to your workplace and followed you around commenting about your poor performance?

He's asking for feedback on why people don't watch TNT, not why they quit.  That's not a request for a laundry list of any perceived shortcomings of him replacing a beloved former host.  Seems a little rude to ignore that request and focus on him specifically.

I do think his delivery is a little too monotone for my taste, and the chemistry that I enjoyed between Tom, Sarah, Iyaz and Jason is missing in the reboot of the show.  That chemistry and circle of friends discussion format is what brought me over from BOL when Tom and Jason left there.  I've only got room for one long format daily tech show in my listening habits, and right now TNT is not it.  That said, I've added TN2T to my feed because I do like the personalities involved, and welcome a second opinion on what news is important.

Just watched the latest TNT show and at least Mike is starting to smile more, however, it is still a bit dry.  I am not bashing Mike, I am sure over time things will loosen up, I just don't know if it will happen fast enough to save the show.  For now I am taking a break from it will check back in later.  Changes like this take time to work out, when you go from a well oiled machine to one that needs some WD40 to break loose you have give it some time.

I never listen to TNT so I really don't know much about the show. I think one thing that is tough about this is that we perceive that the guests and hosts on TWiT are largely friends and family-ish. They get along, don't always agree, but largely genuinely like each other. And Leo built the network with friends. That camaraderie seems to be the glue holding it all together. So when someone is let go it's jolting. Others have moved on but it always seemed to be because some big company pulled them away or another member of the "family" gave them a new job. With Tom Merritt it seemed callus and cold and that's not what would expect from Leo. The question is whether that's fair to Leo given that, to my knowledge, none of us know the whole story.

Joseph Polk very true. I liked TNT and watched it every day because it was like checking in with my nerdy friends who kept tabs on all the tech news for me. Some subjects I didn't care for (I.e. social networking), but at least I knew about them because of their passion. Then you had the live audience interaction with the chat room via the randomizer story segment. But that winning format has all been dumped for a straight evening news style. Looks professional but has zero engagement for me.
