For my sake and this question lets use photo sensor as the term for collecting the imagery when taking a digital photograph.

Lately have seen mfg's plucking the photo sensor size from the spec sheet and including it with there up front advertisement.

Have security cameras reached this level of informational detail? I have some cameras which are UVC-G3's and the detail is good but not great even though they advertise 1080p.

Need more detail when zooming in to the picture or video.

A good place to check is @ the following synology web page ... Only camera from unifi that officially supported seem to be the airCam,airCam Dome, and airCam Mini.
