Owner of Samsung Galaxy S4, retired after purchased the Nexus 6P. Now would like to use it for music storage in my wife's car. This requires I remove the pattern sign in feature but can't figure out how to carry this step out even with the help of online videos. Seem they want me to reset my phone.

As for the steps I follow they are as follows:

Select Settings, my device, lock screen, Screen Lock, Enter PIN. Presented with :

Swipe

Face unlock

Face and Voice

Pattern

Pin

Password

None

Of the above only two are hi-lited or accessible. By that I mean all but PIN and Password are shaded. Looking a bit more closely the common text next to all the shaded selection is the following:

Turned off by administrator , encryption policy or credential storage.

Is there a simple way to turn off the screen lock ??

Was this device ever used on a corporate network or on an account that enforced policies? If not, this thread suggests that the SD card might be encrypted and that disabling the encryption would fix this issue.
