Is building your own inductive charging pair as simple as two coils of wire placed close together?

Of course the supporting circuitry for AC-DC conversion.

Essentially yes. Practically not really, exactly matching coil of wire, I don't even know how to calculate it.

Essentially it's just an air coil Transformer I'm sure there should be some information out there on how to do as such
