G+_James Rogers
Andrew McGlashan I agree that his initial actions were those of a principled man. The problem is what has happened since. Either through nativity or arrogance, he put himself into a no-win situation. No matter how it happened, it was definitely his own doing. And since that time, he has damaged his cause and turned many against him through his acts of self-preservation. It's hard to expect a man to become a martyr, but if he doesn't, he risks being labeled a traitor or coward. More troubling to me is the fact that, as much good as he did, he could possibly cause far more harm to the American public in the positions he is currently in. G+_Jeff Codling
Blanket statements like the one above are a part of the problem. "If you're not with us you are with the terrorists", is so black and white. I don't agree with either so I guess that makes me grey. There is a price to freedom. The freedom to chose allows for people to chose to harm others. You can only mitigate that so far. I don't believe in an invisible sky wizard yet I have raped and murdered as much as I've ever wanted. That would be zero. Yet everyday there are people out there that would do me harm just because I don't agree. Us vs them mentality is the wrong way to work these things out and only feeds the cycle of violence. The main problem is most of humanity is unaware of anything beyond their personal bubble of 5 miles from themselves so they trust their particular brand of talking head who's real goal is to sell advertising for their network. Education and discussion is the key alas that is beyond most humans capacity as well.

G+_Andrew McGlashan
Just one of the quotes that I particularly liked: “If I defected at all,” Snowden said, “I defected from the government to the public.”
G+_Andrew McGlashan
Lou Gagliardi That's debatable. The biggest problem I see is that we cannot trust ANY country or ANY manufacturer. Older PCs may be the go again.... at least for some privacy and security.
