G+_Rud Dog
So many warning about adobe software not sure if I should ever load anything from them. So I ask is this a save download and install?
G+_Ben Reese
Based on that small screenshot alone showing no context, I'd say absolutely not. If you think you actually need Flash Player, it's better to go to Adobe's site directly and download it yourself.
G+_Rud Dog
Yeah, guys, this is what I mean some say it's ok and others say it has problems. Leaving this low pay grade computer nut confused. G+_Black Merc
Setup your browser to run flash on your approval only!
G+_Ben Reese
If I'm not mistaken, Chrome has its own Flash Player built in. That's usually sufficient for me. It stays disabled unless Chrome thinks you need it (like to play video on TWiT.tv)
G+_Damien Wessling
What site is asking for it Rudd?
G+_Rud Dog
Ben Reese damn, surprised to hear Chrome has that feature, learn something every day off to find the settings and test. One thought came up while reading your response, will have to see if the site still asks for installation of Flash player. Damien WesslingThe site is one of those facebook games, my wife wants me to send her "in game rewards". The things we do.
G+_Nick Socha
Agree with everything said, if you still really need flash and are using Chrome check out this post: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/6258784?hl=en If Chrome still doesn't meet your needs I would never install via popups, etc... You'll always want to make sure you go straight to Adobe here: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
G+_Rud Dog
Well found the settings for "ask first" thinking it will still run Adobe Flash-player but only if I allow it. Appreciate the help.

G+_Black Merc
A now the big magic trick... Getting everyone to think before they approve the flash to play.
G+_Rud Dog
BTW, ran Malwarebytes and VirusTotal and nothing came up.
G+_Rud Dog
The Adobe tutorial for setting Chrome FlashPlayer is nothing like what my Chrome browser is showing. Gonna step back and re-think the steps I am attempting to complete. Guess my Computer-frustration-level is very high this morning.
G+_todd zimmerman
Extending on what Ben Reese? was said (Chrome has its own Flash Player): there's a way to config in the desktop version of Chrome's settings to white-list web sites (by domain name) that you approve to use Flash. I don't recall the setting page off hand (I'm just wakin' up), but I came across the instructions on how to do the W-L when I visited KTLA.com (TV station here in LA) --> Live News broadcast. Essentially, the web page detected that I was using Chrome and that in order to view the feed I had to do yada, yada, yada in settings. (I had to W-L two domains: ktla.com - KTLA and LiveStream.com)

G+_Travis Hershberger
Rud Dog The Adobe site is going to give instructions on how to use there own plugin, not the one built into Chrome, forget using the Adobe instructions if you're using Chrome. If you're getting that message in Chrome, I'd be worried about the website.
G+_Rud Dog
Can not get to the chrome/plugins
G+_Akira Yamanita
The detection built in to some sites causes Chrome to not prompt about enabling Flash Player. If there are any active Flash components on the page, you should see a puzzle piece on the right side of the address bar and you can enable Flash from there. Otherwise, you can manually add an exception if you trust the site and are reasonably sure that it's required for core functionality.
