With the new law allowing access to all Cloud-based storage (by big brother) it is now sounding pretty darn good to have your own setup and at the same time getting away from every company on the planet wanting a subscription fee for these same services. CN: They're taking all your stolen data, selling it, and seriously affecting the outcome of political elections

Normie: No they aren't!

I feel like techies have an uphill battle convincing people that we're not just a random conspiracy nuts, and that we just know how the sausage is made. I mean honestly, is anyone really surprised when one of these data misuse stories comes up?

 

Aside from some innocuous stuff that just has to be moved in the easiest and fastest way possible, I pretty much keep my data off the cloud. (Data like files, I know my personal information is blowing around in the wind by now.)
