G+_Rud Dog
Ipad and google calendar. Wife wanted to use her old iPad as our calendar for appointments and other events. Logged into iTunes and selected get and upload buttons and was greeted with the requirement for the Ipad to be running 10.x. In settings, on the iPad, clicked check for updates and was met with: IOS 9.3.5 Your Software is up to date. Thinking support for newer applications has passed the hardware and software by leaving no options but use as an old pad with only those app that will load from iTunes. Anyone else has this EOL kind of thing?
G+_Ben Reese
It's been a while, but I had a similar issue with an iPad. I think something like this worked: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/135060/how-to-install-apps-which-require-a-newer-version-of-ios-on-a-1st-gen-ipad Tl;dr: install using iTunes. apple.stackexchange.com - How to install apps which require a newer version of iOS on a 1st gen. iPad? G+_Rud Dog
Ben Reese Interesting approach, thank you, Ben. I played with the iPad and clicked on the default iPad calendar and did some checking for what I call the option to import calendars. Didn't find any such thing but did findability to enter an email address from Gmail. This allows, for some odd reason, to have your Gmail calendar events sent to the IOS calendar. Still playing with it creating test events on Google Calendar and seeing if they show up in the iPad calendar and so far they do.
