More evidence suggests that the iPhone 5c is a dud

The idea that there were a huge swell of "cost conscious buyers" waiting for a cheaper iPhone in their droves may have been naive anyway. Apple has long attracted the premium end of the market, and the interest there is what is cool and next. A recast of the original 5 in a plastic case probably didn't do the stuff. With ecosystem lock in being so strong now, I think it is likely that most of the 5c's potential market are patiently waiting for the nexus 5, already being used to Google.?

I'd like to have the time to sit down and compare sales figures available for the 5c, vs the sales of the "cheep" previous phone sales after the 4s and 5 shipped.

I doubt the 5c is doing that much better, or that much worse.

I predict its neither the smashing success many predicted, nor the flop others are trying to make it out to be...

The Apple Earnings Report Noted, "iPhone sales up 26% from last year to 33.9m units."

Tim Cook's response was, " Cook says iPhone 4s is entry-offer, iPhone 5c is mid-tier, and iPhone 5s is top-tier offering. Apple’s goal overall is to have growth, and Apple is pleased with the iPhone lineup. This is how Apple partly measures success, most important thing is to make a great product. Apple is happy with current iPhone growth. Cook realizes that people believed 5c would be the entry-phone, but that was never Apple’s intention."
