G+_alex skavronsky
HBO launch in the Nordic countries didn't go very smoothly. I still decided to give them a chance and signed up for a year. I hope they can improve the service quickly. http://www.kilkku.com/blog/2012/12/how-to-alienate-your-fan-base-hbo-nordic-launch-in-finland/
G+_Zarthan South
Could you elaborate on what you mean by "disaster".
G+_Janne Oksanen
I'm not sure I called it a disaster, but I can still try to explain why it didn't go over well. They initially announced, at the same time with Netflix, that they would be launching in mid-October. Netflix managed to launch on schedule and with a highly competitive product at a good price. HBO on the other hand launched months late with a service that was more expensive, had less content and with software that was still very rough around the edges. On top of that they required a 12 month commitment, which was the final straw for most of the potential customers. They have since offered a different subscription for ppl who don't want to commit to 12 months, but it's 50% more expensive (almost twice the price of Netflix).
