G+_Rud Dog
Windows 8.1 While playing with ESP8266 IOTs more specifically NodeMCU and the Wemos mini D1 started having problems with connecting via the USB->UART drivers. Uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers Silicon Labs CP210x. Plugged in the NodeMCU and was able to communicate with it. Disconnected NodeMCU and connected Wemos Mini D1 and no com port was assigned and the familiar sound of USB connection was absent. Looked under Device manager and found when the Wemos was connected the dotted alert for USB2.0-serial would show up. I have searched the web for how to reinstall the drivers to no avail. Any ideas? The connection to the two devices mentioned have been working for the past at least 3 months. Here is a link to a video and what I am seeing.
