On Roku, you can install PLEX, for example, and get searchable YouTube on your big screen. Yes, there are other ways too but this works well for me. Simple.TV is great for home DVR over the Roku too. Simple TV lets you use more than one Roku to get your recorded shows so you can view your stuff in any room that has Roku... and, since Roku lets you WiFi, that's ANYroom Simple TV also lets you get to your stuff over the internet while you are away from home.
