G+_Karla Geiszler
With the House of Cards release and apparent success, the topic of viewership and feedback has come up several times on the show. Like it has been said, on traditional cable that's measured by Nielsen and ad revenue, for the most part. Netflix doesn't have advertisers to answer to, so how do people get to talking about the same show and episode at the same time? Yahoo! has this nice little service they picked up a couple of years ago, IntoNow. Right now it is a bit underwhelming of an experience. It is slow, sharing isn't sorted out right and the interface needs work. But, the experience and concept is fantastic. I could see a team-up of Netflix and Yahoo! with IntoNow being a very good one. Netflix just introduced Facebook sharing, which will get a lot of traffic, but the IntoNow app works like Shazam where you just hold it up and it recognizes the show and episode you're watching. To me this is what sets it apart from Get Glue. I tried Get Glue and it has almost a little too much going on. I had trouble getting the sharing settings right where I could share on demand and not automatic and the stickers, although rewarding, for me get in the way. What do you think of Netflix looking at other sharing services like, IntoNow, in addition to Facebook? I also believe it would be a great move for Yahoo! to gain more relevance once again. Let me know your thoughts. TL;DR What do you think of a Netflix - Yahoo! team up with the app IntoNow? http://www.intonow.com/ci
