G+_Brian Sullivan
Sony hasn't done it yet this is a very difficult thing to pull off. As a want to be cord cutter I can tell you those $15 a month fees really start to add up. ?
G+_Ryan Kelly
Its worth the extra cost for me just to tell Comcast to eat s**t.?
G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
If you are smart you can save as a cord cutter depending on your needs. If you need live and can get over the air the quality will be way better than cable/satellite or streaming and if you need dvr with over the air get a TiVo. Also if you don't need live abc/cbs/nbc/pbs/Cw/etc... Pass have all the content on demand free. Next can you get decent broadband for a good price without cable $50-80 if you can then sling TV/Apple/ Sony Vue $29-70 can give you live TV and still be cheaper than the $150-200 you currently pay. Or iTunes/Google play @ $1.99 per episode(cheaper if you buy the season) will also be cheaper. At least we are getting options and if you are smart you can save a lot. G+_Brian Sullivan
The biggest problem for me is NASCAR and the NFL. Personally I use movie box with my iPad and Apple TV for all my TV shows.
G+_Ryan Kelly
Ya sports are tough to get streaming. Luckily for me I hate sports and the fact that they drive the price of cable up so much.
G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
Brian Sullivan if you can get over the air you get the local sports free and having ESPN in is streaming services help a lot. But imho it's only time before nfl and nba go the route of mlb and just provide the content. Might have to wait for the new TV deals to expire but it's coming sooner or later. G+_Brian Sullivan
Yes I think the first one to sign a deal with the NFL will win this battle. And you're right you can get a lot of it over the air and through streaming but just not all of it yet.
G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
Also all this streaming services are no contract so you can have them when you want them, that's huge.
G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
The real future is when you can choose what channels you want, Sling TV $5 add on packages is the closest yet.
G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
Was having sling TV stream it quality issues. In the iPad app it never goes down in quality but on Xbox one it was all the time. Moved the Xbox one to my 5ghz wifi and is way way better quality now. Still goes down sometimes but very little. 2.4ghz in my area is very crowded apparently.
