G+_Claude Gregoire
I was flying my new drone over by the Henry Hudson Statue in New York. I strapped my point and shoot camera to the top of my drone to get this shot when I started to come down the camera was to heavy and made it decline way to fast. Even with full thrust I could not stop it from crashing. The damage was not that bad. I lost a prop and a motor.
G+_John Phillips
Have you checked how well it is balanced with the camera on?
G+_Claude Gregoire
No. I had 6 inch props on it yesterday and it had a ton of power but one broke so i switched to 5 inch props and even without the camera they did not have the same lifting power. G+_John Phillips
Mmm just seems odd that it was able to gain height only to loose it quickly? If it is unbalanced it might be full throttle on one side and only half on the other to try and get itself level but if put under load by say a side wind the allready flat out motors will have no more to give and down she goes?
