G+_Adam Torborg
I see in that article that they are using MLBAM's tech for this new offering. Does anyone else have some misgivings about that? I have always had some pretty major problems with picture quality in MLB.tv, especially in the beginning of the season, when I am guessing more people are subscribed because they haven't lost hope about their team. If they are licensing the tech, but putting up more servers, maybe that will help. I don't mind the apps/interface, but I hope HBO can get it to scale better. G+_Jack Zhang
Meanwhile, Canada is launching 2 of their own services named "Shomi" and "Cravetv." At least one of them NEEDS a TV subscription to use, but offers HBO shows for streaming because you need to tie it to a TV subscription, but only for specific companies: Bell and Telus only.
