For the Alien X build - What is the best way to connect a GoPro to the plate with rubber dampeners in the front?   It wasn't clear in the show videos unfortunately.   Do I need to use an adapter which lets the GoPro attach to a standard camera mount and then screw it onto the plate?  Thank you!

I also used a gopro mount to 1/4-20 screw. The first time I landed the rubber bushings ripped apart. So I wouldn't recommend that. :) I also used a velcro strap which seemed to work ok. I wouldn't fly very hard with a normal velcro strap though. The gopro can slide around a bit and may slide out. They do make a velcro strap specifically for gopros that use a ring to hold the gopro steady. Which is what I would recommend.

Thank you, I am going to use that strap.   I really don't want to lose the GoPro!   I think there is an upcoming show in which Padre will be taking more about mounts.  I am looking forward to that for sure!
