G+_Joe Phelps
The networks give more money to Congress than Aereo can.
G+_James Karaganis
Yes, and I can't see Aereo being popular enough for this to become a voting issue.
G+_Steve Swing
What if individuals would start sharing streams of their privately owned antenna feeds? Also probably not legal according to the courts and copyright but more difficult to shut down and if no money exchanges hands. What if the streams were distributed via mesh WiFi in a concentrated area such as NYC? The bandwidth would not be subject to caps or ISP control. Maybe Aereo should repackage their technology for sale to consumers. I plug in my Aereo appliance and it captures, transcodes and streams content. I could have continuous simultaneous streams for each signal I can tune.
G+_James Karaganis
Nope. Contributory infringement.
G+_Josh Frye
You know if they would just increase the fee a bit and pay the rebroadcasting fee, I can see Aero becoming a juggernaut for tv that Apple became for the music industry. Heck it would get more people watching the local stations too.
