G+_Talky
Can anyone tell me if the Windows ISO Download Database is a trusted source.
G+_Ben Reese
Until now, I hadn't heard of the "Windows ISO Download Database". If you have a valid license key, you can get the Windows 7 ISO directly from Microsoft. The Windows 10 ISO is available from Microsoft without a license key. ? Tip: the ISO Download page may redirect you to another page to download the media creation tool instead, but this only happens if you're browsing from a Windows machine. If you want a direct download link to the ISO, you can open the page on a phone/tablet or you can use Chrome Developer mode to emulate a mobile device (F12 then [Ctrl]+[shift]+M]). G+_Talky !
I have a product key but it came with a laptop(on a sticker on the bottom) and the Windows 7 download page only takes product keys from retailers. Sorry for the confusing explanation, English is my second language.
G+_Talky !
And I have downloaded the Windows 10 and 8.1 iso without a problem and activated them with the product key.
G+_Ben Reese
Yeah, I had that problem too. I had another Win 7 key, but it was for some reason it thought I needed the European version.
G+_Carl Elton
What make of laptop do you have.(Dell, Lenovo, HP) See if one of your friends have that make of laptop with the version of windows you need and borrow their windows install disk for your install. G+_Ben Reese
Talky !? - I just sent you a separate message with links to the ISOs I have. No real reason to trust me over anyone else on the Internet though. If your end goal is Windows 10, you can install Windows 10 and active with the Windows 7 key you have - as long as you install the corresponding version of Win 10 (if your key is for Win 7 home, it will only activate 10 home).
