G+_Brandon Ingli
UPDATE: Apparently this was just a fluke. After restarting my computer this morning the wallpaper scales correctly now. Weird. My Windows 10 setup just did something weird with the wallpaper after the latest batch of updates. I have a 4k resolution wallpaper for my laptop's main 4k display. Previously, this would scale down for my 1080p external monitor, but I just noticed it's not scaling down now. Any thoughts? Just another Windows bug Microsoft didn't fix before pushing patches? G+_Rickbearcat
It probably has something to do with how the source photo is now handled scaling wise after the update. You probably have to scale it manually.
G+_Brandon Ingli
Rickbearcat Is it possible to manually set multiple backgrounds (for multiple scale factors) for multiple monitors?
G+_Rickbearcat
It certainly might work that way. But I suspect not because how would the OS know which resolution to choose without you telling it? In the easiest case scenario, you would have one wallpaper set as your background on two monitors with two different resolutions. If you have chosen a wallpaper that is higher than what both monitors support, the OS probably doesn't know how to scale that down to fit properly on each monitor. Or in the case of the 4k monitor, it does. Can you down sample that wallpaper to 1080p using some software? And then apply that to the 1080p monitor as a workaround for now? G+_Golden Retriever
Previous versions of Windows had a stretch setting that scale the image to fit the screen but I think scale image would have been a better term because I think it went both ways stretch or shrink to fit.
