Stepper motors could be used to make a diy motion control system for a camera, right?

 

Maybe just a 360 pan at first. But you could then mount that on a slider, attach it to a follow focus for a push/pull shot.

 

I think it's reasonable to consider since even the moderately priced stuff from the likes of Kessler is quite spendy from my financial perspective.

 

Has anyone made a project like this?
