G+_Andrew Boyter
doesn't look quite as exciting as House of Cards (which I still haven't watched). It looks like a SyFy show from maybe 20 years ago, actually.
G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
But original content for Netflix, the future baby!
G+_Andrew Boyter
absolutely. I might just start it on my xbox and let it play through while i do something else just to help get the numbers up. :)
G+_Damian Mongru
Slightly off-topic, and I'm sure it has been discussed before. However, can somebody explain the whole cord-cutting notion to me, and if original programming from Netflix helps. My impression is that you don't want to buy a whole package of channels that your cable company provides, but you want an a la carte experience. Are we just moving the same channel paradigm to the Internet? Finally, has this programme gone through the same TV-making machinery as other shows, and the only difference is that Netflix has paid for it. I'm not saying this is not good news, I just can't work out how revolutionary it is.
G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
Because content may for Netflix can easy be sold directly to you, the craziness of cable and satellite deals with content makers is not the same with Netflix. House of cards is sold directly where Netflix service is not shown or even here (iTunes)...
G+_Damian Mongru
Oh I see, netflix/streaming services haven't made those stupid channel or content deals that cable services have made. This makes perfect sense.
