G+_tptwk
Padre, I just bought a Arducopter APM 2.6 flight controller. I am still waiting for the rest of my parts for the build but I wanted to plug it in and update the firmware like I have seen many do on youtube. The problem is I cant get it to communicate. I downloaded the APM planner for my mac and could not connect. Then I read that you need at least OS 10.8 (which I don't). I then downloaded Mission planner on my XP laptop and could not talk. I thought it would auto recognize the APM 2.6 when I plugged in the USB but got nothing. Do I need to configure a USB port? Shouldn't it be plug n play? Please help!! P.S. I did get a KK2 just in case.
G+_Timothy Hamlett
10.8? XP? Sounds like you have some updating to do...

G+_Taylor Graham
You probably need drivers. I doubt it's plug and play. I'm 99% sure the apm will work on xp. Google it, I'm sure the info is there. ?
