G+_Robert Carlos
really not shocked they backed out of selling. now maybe Fox and Disney will pick a direction and go. but until they scrap the ads for the pay version they are still off my list. http://www.deadline.com/2013/07/hulu-says-no-sale-owners-will-keep-it/
G+_Brian Gilbert (Ned Jaco
I'm not sure why $8/month with ads included is worse than whatever cable service sells for these days.
G+_Michael Interbartolo
At least with cable sat you have more content and no ads if you have a DVR.
G+_Brian Gilbert (Ned Jaco
Okay, it's fair if you value those things that highly. I don't and would much rather pay $8/month for what Hulu provides as-is instead of paying whatever the going rate is for cable/satellite.
G+_Michael Interbartolo
Content is king and hulu holds no value for me given their limited episodes selection, ads and expiration of episode availability.
G+_Scott Meister
This is why I like Amazon Prime over hulu. There's NO commercials anywhere, on any movie or TV show. Ever!
G+_Jason Honingford
Never liked hulu anyway. Fuck them.
G+_Doc Funkinstein
So Hulu is a no go, due to ads but from your cable company you will pay more than double and have tons of ads....oh yeah you DVR everything you are going to watch at any given moment you are watching TV..... G+_Michael Interbartolo
with the ability to record 5 shows simo plus keep a whole season worth of shows I say yeah my directv service is leaps ahead of hulu in terms of value. plus I have on demand if I happen to miss a show. G+_Brian Gilbert (Ned Jaco
shrug When I used to subscribe to Hulu Plus, I only followed three or four current shows plus used it to watch a few old shows. It didn't matter to me that the "current" shows were eight days old - I didn't have any frame of reference since I didn't have cable. For $8, it gave me quite a bit. It's obvious that it doesn't meet your demands and that's fine, but it offers quite a lot and doesn't cost very much. For many people, that's enough. G+_Doc Funkinstein
I understand now, direct TV is as cheap as Hulu and is better for a cord cutter
