G+_Robert Carlos
Will Chromecast tip the balance of streaming in a few quarters? http://www.multichannel.com/technology/roku-most-used-streaming-media-player-survey/144944
G+_Joe Morrison
Possibly, but I think this survey was deeply flawed by not considering the ps3 or xbox as streaming devices. I believe Netflix recently publicized that the ps3 was most used to stream their content.
G+_Michael Interbartolo
good point, I do wonder if Xobox, PS3 and Wii were added how that changes things. for the longest time the Wii was only used for netflix at our house before eventually getting powered down completely. G+_mark nassal
Absolutely, that was kind of a big oversight by the folks doing the survey.
G+_Matt Lyons
I think it works without including the 360/PS3/Wii. They're specifically talking about which streaming boxes sold the most. I don't think you could say that anyone buys a gaming console just for streaming. The problem is they titled it "Most used" when their survey was all about which ones were in homes. How many are in houses doesn't tell you anything about how much they're used.
