G+_Bart Dyer
So I'm looking for a new 60 inch TV for my man cave. What should I get? Should I go 4k? My budget is around $1600.
G+_Elizabeth Whitmire
Regarding 4K, it depends on how close you'll be sitting. There are some good calculators that'll help; just Google for them. Try these search terms: 4K TV distance calculator?
G+_Jeff Hubert
Don't get 4k. The standard for 4 k Color has not been set.
G+_Paul Tobeck
Personally, I'd get the best quality, highest refresh rate 1080p TV I could for the $1600. 4K is nice, but there's so little content available and I think it'll be 2-3 more years before you see it becoming a standard. G+_William Cooke
There is no 4k content other than some Netflix and maybe a couple others. Also look at the standards and the new requirement for a new version of HDMI. Is it in any 4k TVS yet? Remember when HDMI 1st came out....
G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
Don't get 4k they don't have the hdmi that the 4k blu Ray will use.
G+_David Pick
Allot of don't buy a 4k television yet from everybody. I would tell you to tweet Scott Wilkinson or Robert Heron this question. My opinion. You would be an early adopter if you purchase an 4k capable television now. Their is nothing wrong with that as the cost of a new set has come down significantly. But realize their is a chance, something will come along that will make your 4K television obsolete or incompatible. That is with 4K content. You'll have nothing to worry about with 1080P content or lower.
