Hi,

 

I'm planning to buy a hub to connect between my router and modem so that I can have a look at all the traffic in my network. I found one of these on eBay: http://support.netgear.com/product/EN108TP

 

Do you it would do the job or would you recommend another device?

That will work just fine just as long as as your service is a TOTAL (in both directions) of 10Mbps or less. This is a 10Mbps hub, so unless you're using slow-ish DSL,. you're going to overwhelm it. 

 

If you're got speedy DSL or Cable, you need a 100Mbps hub like the Netgear DS106.

Thank you Padre, I have a rather fast connection so 10Mbps wouldn't cut it. Found a DS106 on eBay and I will go for it now.
