G+_Derek Kademan
The timing for covering RGB leds is great. I put Christmas lights on my daughters wheelchair. Now she wants lights year round. I need help figuring out what to use. Everything needs to be weatherproof. The rear wheels must roll freely. My plan is to have at least three 'sets' of lights. The lights on the chair itself can have an arduino for control. The lights on the wheels I am unsure of. Ideally all sets of the lights will be lit the same and when animated, for a seasonal look, all be in sync. I can upload code for a season or a default, but on most days I need a way for a non-techy such as a teacher to be able to set the color on each of the lights. I like tinkering, but no longer have the time or budget to try various setups. Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated.
G+_Derek Kademan
Just checked the site. The Revo Lights are cool. I need to be able to change colors and add twinkling for the holidays. Thanks for the suggestion.
G+_Derek Kademan
I liked the idea of maybe a digispark on the wheels, but not sure how to change color on the fly. And the wireless option sounds possible for the chair.
G+_Derek Kademan
Maybe when the chair is done I can get a picture with local PD and blue/red flashing on the chair with her.
G+_G Riedell
Here's another idea -- I'd try looking into some type of induction charging - rechargeable battery arrangement for powering the LEDs on the wheels.
